My mission to support Canadian artists nationwide started off with me being an immigrant and exploring Canadian provinces with the people I love. From surreal, breathtaking moments in the Rockies to walking down the ever-so-energetic Stephen Ave and interacting with the friendly locals, it was in those big moments that I decided: Calgary is the place to be.

1. Get your hair and makeup done by your HMUA a few times before the big day — birthdays, date nights, family events. Did Kylie Jenner’s MUA only do her makeup once before they got it right? Nope. Build chemistry, test looks, and get comfortable. 2. On a budget? At the very least, book a trial. Practice makes perfect - no surprises on your wedding day. 3. Give your HMUA a proper working space. No laundry rooms (yes, that happened). All we need: a clean table, chair, and a quiet, low-traffic corner. 4. “I want it to be a surprise at the end” DONT DO THIS. Mirror check-ins help us align and adjust as we go. Stay in the loop. 5. Friends and family are great — but please don’t crowd us or micromanage the artist. It breaks focus. This is a professional service. Boundaries = best results.
